Waiting for a Wage
Had enough to eat today
Bought shoes with hard soles,
some coffee under the table
and ice cream for the neighbour’s son.
Got my wage today
Made the payment for the Beckett and the Joyce,
Rent for a month in advance
And two copies of National News for the neighbour.
Got my food stamps today
Stuffed myself with beans no salad,
Packed the bones for Archibald
And cut my hair chic
Windy day today
I hid in the shade and dreamt:
Opening of eyes, neighbour’s ice cream and old newspapers,
An open door and a new day.

POETRY
  • A Father’s Love
THOUGHTS
  • “Nothing in dreams is so astonishing as the amount of awakenings.” – Prvoslav Vujcic, MFA.
Quote by Prvoslav Vujcic, written in 2000 – Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
  • “The majority of tired and wrinkled people (in machines for laundry and money), do not have enough strength and energy to separate the thought from the dust or the work from the suit. Hence the depth and width of Leonardo’s words when he says: while criticizing, criticize the thought and not the author.” – Prvoslav Vujcic, MFA.
Quote by Prvoslav Vujcic, written in 2000 – Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
