Sanja Zecevic Markovic (Serbia, 1976) is a professional make-up artist.
Zecevic Markovic grew up in Pozarevac (Serbia) but she was born in Sapine, a town in the municipality of Malo Crnice in the Branicevo Region. Today she lives and works in Paris (France). She is the mother of three children. Sanja received her education in Pozarevac and in France – in the prestigious International Make-up Art School called Fleurimon. In Serbia, she worked as a host and reporter of TV Duga and as radio host for numerous radio channels. In 2003, she moved to Italy and took part in amateur theatre. In 2005, Sanja continued life in France and while in Paris she received her certificate for make-up art specializing in make-up for all domains – theatre, film, television, photographic make-up, face and body painting and for special effects.
Zecevic Markovic worked as a make-up artist for three short films and two TV channels (creating the make-up for the hosts and guests of various shows). While in theatre, she was the make-up artist for a musical comedy and for professional photographers, models, face painting in circuses…
In the elementary school she attended, Sanja took part in the school theatre and was a member of the reciting section winning third place in the Municipality Competition for the Visual Arts section in the field of asphalt drawing. In her high school, her final exam for the Serbian language course was voted the best work of the entire generation.
Zecevic Markovic also recites her poetry in literary meetings and is a contributor of the Urban Book Circle (Canada). She has been written and spoken about – themes in magazines (in France, Serbia and Canada) are dedicated to her work. The love for beautiful creative things, theatre and make-up art has been in her heart since she was a child.
