Photo from Her Youth
She stole her grandma’s sedative
Ran across fields from the buzz in her ears Sat cross-legged outside Dairy Queen Sucking on a can of beer She perched on the backrest of the park bench Bared her breasts in a cellar the first time Sang and pulled a guitar by its strings And wept when she pissed her bed She sold knickknacks at a county fair Wore a band around her ankle Borrowed LP’s wholesale And faked a hip chick on the Sunset Strip. She tossed doctor’s notes on her teachers’ desks She was pregnant, then aborted She blew on a hash pipe She didn’t wash her laundry, didn’t know how And she howled when they called her babe. Called her Amazon, Muppet and tomboy, And she was sore and she was proud, Till one day, something dropped from her belly And howled: “Mama”, Then she saw she was alone Alone with her pictures. |

The legendary Dragoslav “Seki” Sekularac speaks about himself, Tito and Dzajic, the lamb Arkan, Rajko Mitic without pants and about the qualities and selfishness about those who we knew but didn’t recognize. Originally published in the May 2006 issue of Mi magazin in the Serbian. This interview lasted 4 hours and 47 minutes and is the longest ever interview with the world famous soccer player Dragoslav Sekularac. This was confirmed by the legendary Canadian soccer player of Serbian descent Milovan “Mike” Bakic who was present during the interview.
