Nina Medved (Slovenia, 1989) is a poet, photographer and translator from Slovenia, finishing her degree in Comparative Literature and French Studies.
In 2012, she worked for the House of Slovene Poetry in Reims, France. Her poetry can regularly be listened to at poetry readings and some of her poems are published in periodical press in French and Slovene. In 2012 and 2013, multiple collective translations were published: a play by A. Makine called Svet po Gabrielu (The World According to Gabriel), a novel by J. Teule called Trgovinica za samomore (The Suicide Shop), a selection of poems by G. Goffette called Dlan v noci (A Hand in the Night) and a selection of poems by T. Kuntner Jablana called Le pommier (Apple tree).
Her photojournalistic work was published in print and online media in Slovenia, France, Italy, Switzerland and South Korea. Besides event photography, portraits are her soft spot. She is also enrolled in the Paris-based Institute of Photography and is a contributor to the Urban Book Circle (Canada).
At the moment, she is dedicated to obtaining her diplomas, public relations in her scout organization and numerous other things. Her wish is to keep on creating beautiful and meaningful projects in all the above-mentioned fields.
