Jefimija “Mia” Vujcic,
 anthropologist, historian and linguist,
cultural program editor of the Urban Book Circle
B I O G R A P H Y

Jefimija “Mia” Vujcic (Canada, 1998) is a Toronto-based anthropologist, historian and linguist.

Jefimija Vujcic has been interested in museums, writing and making art for as long as she can remember. She graduated secondary school with honours as an Ontario Scholar and with awards in history and English. Prior to that, she was awarded the L’Amitie award for the French language and the Arts Alive award. She began university in September 2016 at Trinity College of the University of Toronto, being accepted with an academic-based scholarship. While at Trinity College, Vujcic was a recipient of the Sodexho Award, the Milan Surducki Memorial Scholarship, the Marian A. Robertson Scholarship, and the William Kilbourne Prize.

Jefimija Vujcic is the cultural program editor of the Urban Book Circle, based in Canada. The Urban Book Circle was founded by her father Prvoslav Vujcic and her brother Djuradj Vujcic.

In September 2017, Vujcic joined the Bookends book club at the University of Toronto, becoming the co-director in September 2018. Vujcic revived the Serbian Students Association of the University of Toronto and became its president in September 2019.

In April 2020, Vujcic graduated from Trinity College with an Honour’s Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction with a double-major in socio-cultural anthropology and history and a minor in French. She finished each year as a Dean’s List Scholar.

In September 2020, she began pursuing her master’s degree in museum studies at the University of Toronto with a Canada Graduate Scholarship in the Social Sciences and Humanities.
